The casino section
Everything on this page comes from operator publications and national law. We do not describe game selections, jackpots, tournaments or bonuses that an operator has not published, and we do not promote gambling. If you are travelling to a property, the operator's own site is the last word on hours and house rules.
Getting in
Every casino we cover checks identification at the door. A passport or a national ID card is the safe choice; a driving licence is not always accepted outside its country of issue. Registration is mandatory in the Portuguese gaming rooms, and Singapore requires a passport from foreign visitors because citizens and permanent residents pay a statutory entry levy that tourists do not.

Dress codes
Only two properties in our list publish a firm dress code. Casino Baden-Baden requires elegant evening wear in the classic gaming area and a jacket for men, which can be borrowed at reception for ten euros. Casino Barriere de Deauville applies a dress code in the gaming rooms and refuses beachwear and sportswear. Everywhere else the published guidance is smart casual, which in practice means no beachwear, no sports kit and no slippers.
Opening hours
The Baltic casinos and the two long-haul resorts run around the clock. The historic European rooms do not: Casino Baden-Baden opens the slot machines at noon and the classic tables at 14:00, and both close at 02:00, while Deauville runs from 10:00 to 02:00 with longer weekend hours. Table opening times inside those windows are published by each casino and change with the season.
Gambling in Finland
Finland has run a state monopoly through Veikkaus, which operates the two land-based casinos in the country: Casino Helsinki at Mikonkatu 19 in the Fennia block, open since the 1990s, and Casino Tampere, which opened in 2021 next to Nokia Arena with entrances from Kasinoaukio and the Sorinsilta side.
That system is changing. Parliament approved a new Gambling Act in December 2025, licence applications opened on 1 March 2026, a new supervisory authority takes over from the National Police Board at the start of 2027, and the first licensed private operators may offer betting and online casino games from 1 July 2027. Veikkaus keeps its monopoly on lotteries, scratch cards, land-based slot machines and the land-based casinos.
For a traveller this matters in one practical way: the reform is about the Finnish market, not about the rules you meet abroad. Entry ages, identification requirements and dress codes at the properties on this site are set by the country you are visiting.
